About Laura

In her 25 years of experience supporting government contractors in finance and accounting her focus has been on compliant system design, cost proposal support, incurred cost submission preparation, general accounting compliance and DCAA compliance. She founded Strategic Consulting Solutions in 2004 and joined Kenneth Parsons to create PDS Consulting Solutions in 2013 specializing in Deltek Costpoint as an early adopter and beta user of Costpoint in the mid 1990’s.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Lincoln Memorial University and a Master of Accountancy Degree from the University of Tennessee. In August 2008, she completed her Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. Considered a thought leader in the accounting space she has co-authored articles for NCMA’s Contract Management journal and is a regular speaker for the North Carolina Military Business Center’s Contractor Defense Academy, as well as other organizations.
